I just received my PS3 from Amazon and will be connecting it to a Sony 52inch xbr4 when it arrives in two weeks. A friend of mine said that he had problems receiving a signal from his HDMI cable (Monster Cable I believe) to his xbr3 and that he had to get one specifically made for the PS3.

Is there any reason why one HDMI cable would not carry the signal from the PS3 to an hdtv and not any other HDMI cable?

I also have Monster cable and I know most of you here hate Monster cables, but I needed the extra mesh jacket to safely run the cable through my walls and couldn't find another company that offered that.
