Finally binged the rest of the season. Surprised by all the negativity here & elsewhere. I thought it was largely superb & the most consistently enjoyable season since the first. Foster nailed it throughout.
I was a bit worried they were going to go full mystical bollocks to explain everything, but thankfully they pulled back on that towards the end.
Adored the atmosphere, music & cinematography. The ending to episode 4 was a proper '****ing hell!'

that happened in episode 5 (which I certainly didn't see coming), & I just couldn't tear my eyes away from the screen during the finale. Loved the last 5 minutes.
Question: I may have missed it, but did anyone explain what the microbe the scientist were looking for in the ice actually was, or how it would 'change the world'?
