You also understand that the deluxe edition can also refer to the packaging? Single digipacks housed in a rigid slipcase is a 100% a deluxe edition. And like my comment about your silly rant on the Magnificent Bodyguards thread. You’re complaining that there’s ‘only’ 4 extras; what makes you think there is any more? What makes you think 88 had access to any previously released material?
You should be thankful that this is getting released at all, and including a 40 page booklet. They could release it barebones, then you’d have something to moan about.

I can’t help but think some folks complaining about the prices of recent 88 Films releases, especially the UHD ones, don’t realize how costly it is for them to make these. I think I’ve actually read them saying this previously.
Something tells me 88 would prefer not having to price these editions around £15 over the blu-ray versions, but the truth is likely they don’t sell as well and they need to at least try and recoup the costs of producing them for the fans who actually do care about owning the best possible versions.
Even I can admit, blind buying titles in 4K can sting if I don’t absolutely love the movie (that happened recently with Bodyguard from Beijing, which I liked, but probably could have lived with in blu-ray), but most of the ones 88 are giving us in 4K I consider some of the best martial arts films of all time like Fist of Legend, Tai Chi Master, the Project A films, and this set.
I think those who care so much about the price probably should opt for the blu-rays because my guess is they don’t care enough to want to own any of these in 4K to begin with. If they did, they wouldn’t care about the price because these films may never even have a better release. Future proofing my collection is usually worth it if I means I’ll never need to buy something again. Can’t tell you how much money I’ve wasted over the years double, triple, or even quadruple dipping on films I love.
Just my opinion tho.
