1) It was highly rated and the most affordable player at the time.
2) If Blu-ray does not succeed it will still have value as a game console and will still play whatever movies I had bought. HD-DVD was in the lead at the time.
Guess my point is that the PS3 is going to be a tough bird to figure.
I sure hope this blowsup in their face.
