Yep, however good Emily Osment looked in that dress, I wasn't a fan of the title sequence or the incidental music, both of which felt OTT & completely out of place. Mandy's weird brother kinda came out of nowhere too (was he even mentioned before on
Young Sheldon?
). Other than that I enjoyed it. It was just nice to spend some more time with those characters.
The switch to 'standard sitcom' will take some adjustment. It does feel a lot broader than YS. Will Sasso has had the smoothest transition to the new format so far & was the highlight of the first episode for me.
