If they didn't and showed 3 discs stacked to a hub like it will actually be, people would think it only had two 2 discs and just generate confusion. They absolutely will be stacked, just like the German 4K steelbook of the same movie, which was also six discs. That's how all 14mm G2 steelbooks hold releases with 5+ discs. There's actually no reason to think they won't be stacked.

They should just make a fatter spine and have the same height and width/depth and have a flip tray in the middle like the 4 disc non stacked, but staggered both sides. Or make it fatter again and do two flip trays and no staggering on front and back, single disc. Fatter spines would only suck if you want to reuse a previous steel’s outside because the spine would be too thin.
Apocalypse Now messes things up for me because I like the old 3 disc BD SteelBook case with the poster art best and I dont want stacked discs to fit 6 in it. I haven’t hacked it yet but it’ll be the theatrical and redux in one case and the final cut all by itself in the case that has final cut even printed on it.
