Ah, so that's why he (Tarantino) doesn't mention Ringo Lam's Lung fu fong wan (aka. City on Fire) with a word when interviewed about Reservoir Dogs? Reservoir Dogs is almost a fram by frame rip-off of Lam's far superior movie.
I have nothing against homages, but in order for it to be a homage you have to acknowledge the original source...
