I've seen No Man's Sky sale price down temporarliy to 9.99 digital years ago for PS5 on PSN, so it could drop to that in June during the Summer Games Fest. That was when Horizon 1 was given completely free by Sony, and Ratchet & Clank PS4 too.
Hello Games should take 20 different and best environment textures and landscapes, and put them all onto one planet, and then call it Earth Mode. You would start on that planet and could discover 20 different ecosystems as you traveled across the land and water. I'd love that, and it would have a complete story mode too, with missions on the planet to go to. Not fetch missions, or the repetitious math puzzles, but actually story paths with difficult moral choices for your character to make, like in Fallout 3 and 4. That kind of story.
There should also be puzzles using your digging and building skills. Maybe some prizes could only be accessed by building a ramp, then having one of your faster vehicles drive onto it, fly up and grab the prize where the jet pack couldn't reach.
The Ship should also be able to crash. Instead, it just bumps into things and no true damage as it automatically avoids crashing on autopilot at times. Enemy lasers can destroy it at least.
Lots of potential but Hello Games is not interested in those things it seems. Just more new tools and generic features in No Man's Sky. It's their game, so they can make those decisions as they please.
