I read the game is an adventure, and IGN said it's not open world, but takes place in the "city" of Sicily, Italy, which is the lower island the boot of Italy is kicking as they say.
Early 1900 Sicily still has a town setting, so it's not entirely wilderness. But I liked the wilderness presented in Mafia Remake and the other games including Mafia 3.
It looks like it's story driven and no side quest nonsense, which is good. I don't need lots of mini side quests to enjoy a game. Unless it offers some nice rewards, I rarely complete most of the side quests in most games (unless it was Fallout 3).
