I probably wouldn't add more things into the same package as this set's packaging would most likely not go well getting flung around with more obects inside the box. The cardboard holder for the digis aren't exactly the most sturdy and you'd risk creasing it.
They really should have gone with regular cases imho.

Had a senior moment, forgetting that there had been a French Blu-ray release of the original series as well.
Well, if I did decide to go and order the German release, I hope it's packed well enough to reduce the chance of damage to the boxset (bearing in mind this is Amazon).
Update: The packaging design with the German Blu-ray boxset of the original series is different to the US release (two thick plastic cases inside a card/cardboard slipcase). It sounds like you're talking about the packaging on the US Blu-ray release (the digipaks).
I agree that they should have used normal Blu-ray cases. On a separate note, I can remember when they used to post about new CBS/Paramount physical media titles on the CBS Home Entertainment Facebook page. But that page is no longer on Facebook (everything seems to be posted on the Paramount Facebook page now).
