So far, some of the HDR10/DV titles (Mad Max, The Accountant, The Last of Us) I tested were pretty bad and disappointing: washed-out colors, raised blacks, incorrect brightness, and worse compression than the Blu-ray Disc. You can read about my first experience with it here.

Then I tested Poor Things (a mixed bag) and Without Remorse (pretty good).
So maybe I just got unlucky with my first three titles, but I definitely expected more for the price tag. Even until recently, they had many DV releases with incorrect colors, so they don’t seem very good and clearly lack quality control, but at least they listen to us and are open to fixing the problems we find.

As for the DV implementation, they use Profile 5, which offers the same quality as Profile 7 because DVP5 uses a more efficient color space that equals about 11.5-bit YCbCr, while P7 FEL is 12-bit YCbCr, but in the end, it doesn’t matter, and there won’t be any visible difference on our 10-bit TVs.

Their SDR is solid and accurate across all the titles I’ve checked... Just did Bad Teacher, and it’s a great upgrade.

P.S. I won’t be posting everything I check here, but you can follow my screenshot comparison Excel sheet here.

sorry for my English...
