They could do what they should have done years ago: look for new markets.
South Korea, China, Vietnam, Thailand, India, Saudi Arabia, Gulf states, eastern Europe. Do Nintendo even bother in those countries?
I did a bit of gaming in the early/mid noughties when I was younger, and am amazed that both Nintendo and Sony are still reliant on the same handful of countries for most of their sales: Japan, US, UK and Germany.

Gaming sales are normally split into four: Japan, US & Canada, Europe, Rest of the World (really?!)
Rest of the World percentage figures:
PlayStation 2 (early noughties): 17%
PlayStation 3 (late noughties): 19%
PlayStation 4 (mid tens): 20%
PlayStation 5: 19%
GameCube (early noughties): 3%
Wii (late noughties): 10%
Switch: 15%
Pretty poor. So yes I am correct.
