In this age of high definition, I have noticed the following.


Gamers do not care about higher resolutions than their television.


Top of the pyramid: People with 1080p displays

Middle top: People with 1080i displays

Middle bottom: People with 720p displays

Bottom: People running 480p/i displays



Being at the top stinks, especially with games that spoil you like WipEout / Monsters / Eden / Stardust / Sigma / GTP.


It blows knowing native 1080p resolutions will be pretty much ignored by cross-platform developers in this generation.
not this again. if the box lied and said uncharted or killzone 2 was 1080p could you even tell? continue hitting the "info" button on your remote and reading the back of the box it while others enjoy the games because it'll still say 720p.
