Columbia/Tri-Star is a company owned by Sony and back in 2011 Sony was heavily advertising 3d and 3d Blu-ray as part of Sony's big failed pitch of Sony 3d world for 3d tv and playstation 3.This was back in the early 2010's when sony was big on trying to get people to buy a 3d tv and a 3d blu-ray player or ps3 and 3d tv.It was also released around the same time the playstation 3d display was released so it doesn't surprise me that Sony would rerelease an old 3d documentary on to 3d blu-ray as part of a campaign to get as much material as possible on 3d blu-ray.Of course now a days Sony has mostly abandoned anything 3d heck even the movies they release to theatres don't even get 3d versions in cinemas.
Anyways my point being is that Sony never held any part of the release rights for home media to IMAX Siegfried & Roy : The Magic Box.The company that owns the home media rights is Filmworks/Hannover House a small company that has never released a 3d blu-ray.The company Filmworks/Hannover House never released a single 3d blu-ray even when 3d blu-ray was being heavily promoted as the next big platform by all the big companies for watching movies and tv in 2010-2015 at home.

Venom The Last Dance wasn't Sony's last 3D American movie in cinemas? And Barroz 3D was their offshore release by my calculations.
