Among the speakers i would try to hear
- Canton Chrono 507 DC or 509 DC
- Monitor Audio Silver RS6
- KEF iQ7
- and as u recommended Dali Concept 8

The price of the first 3 is about 1000-1200, Dali Concept is 890.
This will be the fronts (one of them), maybe anyone knows smth about the first 3 speakers ?

The receiver would be.. Onkyo TX-SR607.. maybe someone has it?
Thanks
I have heard all the speakers you are looking at, I am not 100% sure about the Cantons, I heard some, but they were much more expensive in USD then what your said, so I may have been hearing a higher end pair.

Of those 4 speakers, the RS6 and the Dali's will give you the best low end, bass is excellent from them both. The Dali's I liked better then the MA RS6's, there was more detail and a richer truer sound to music. The MA RS6's were a little bright, alternative music was good on the RS6's and Dali's were just less forward sounding. Jazzier music and Pianos were a lot better on the Dali's then the MA RS6's. When it came to reproducing a piano, the Dali's were just heads above everything else I have heard so far in the $1000/pr price range. Nice thing is, is that a speaker that makes music sound great also makes HT sound great.

Kefs are nice speakers but they are just too bright for my tastes and with prolonged periods of music they start to wear out the ear. Detail is very good, not as good as the MA RS6's or Dali's but good. Canton speakers are nice, they have a warm sound, but the low-end frequency is just not as good.

Check them out yourself and I am sure you will come to about the same conclusion.

You should be OK with that receiver, but if you can get a Marantz 5003/5004 or an Onkyo 707, I think you would be happier.
