I have the Panasonic DMP-BD55k, Panasonic DMP-BD80k and the OPPO BDP-83
If you are using HDMI connections- Blu Ray disk is hard to tell any diffrence between the three players
- SD DVD the OPPO BDP-83 PQ is a bit better but not night and day diffrence
For Analog Audio the OPPO BDP-83 wins over both the Panasonic DMP-BD55k and Panasonic DMP-BD80k
Speed the OPPO BDP-83 wins again but in real life daily use you need a stopwatch to realy notice the few seconds
On the OPPO 24fps does not need to be set for each SD DVD like on the Panasonic DMP-BD55k and Panasonic DMP-BD80k, the OPPO keeps this setting
