If you can find a now-discontinued Sony BDP-S350 or BDP-S550, you will have a player which many, including myself, have found to be practically flawless in operation (for me, completely flawless - I have the S350). The S350 does not internally decode DTS-HD Master Audio, but it will decode Dolby TrueHD. I simply bitstream all audio via HDMI to my Pioneer Elite SC-05 receiver for decoding.

There have been some who have found the S350 and S550 for less than $100 on clearance racks at Sears, but there may be online vendors who might have some in stock. The replacement players are the BDP-S360 and BDP-S560, respectively.

All the players I mentioned are Profile 2.0.
