Although the bulk of my computer experience is based on the x86 architecture, the first PC I ever used was an Apple Macintosh (technically, it is a PC because it is a
personal
computer. Apple devotees may disagree, but they would be wrong

)
I remember the days of DOS quite fondly, but less so with IBM OS/2. No experience with Windows ME, which is actually a good thing (to date, the only Microsoft OS I have never used). I abhor / detest / hate / loathe / reject / snub everything Vista (based on hands-on experience, though the copy I bought during CompUSA's closing remains sealed to this day). Ironically, I enjoyed the beta test for Windows 7, so much so that I pre-ordered an upgrade copy of 7 Pro (arrived yesterday, but the installation won't occur till this weekend; I will still keep XP Pro as part of a multi-boot configuration, even though my PC can support XP Mode).
