80's
Sid Meier's Pirates (PC) - played the game non-stop; loved the gameplay, which for the time was insane: sailing across the ocean, attacking ships/towns, visiting towns, asking the governor's daughter out, going to a bar and getting more crew, and finding a treasure map and then sailing around to find the digging spot

GOldeneye or Mariokart - definitely the preferential drunken college stupor option!

(watched my buddy play FF7 on the PS1, never played it myself...i think it required too much effort for my drunken state at the time)
2000's
Oblivion - insane replayability, a world as large as the city i live in (with the same number of homes and people), create character customization, just can't say enough about this game
