Default Got the go ahead from the Mrs. to start projector shopping...

...she is even offering to pay for it from her up coming work bonus. Since this will be going into our living room the first step will be installing some light blocking curtains to take care of excess ambient light

Now that is out of the way the real planning can start (hope my weiner being visible in this picture hasn't offended anyone ). Anyone who looks at my gallery can see that my living room is not exactly set up in an ideal way for a HT, but that is non negotiable. I mocked up a couple photos with my plans. I'm looking into a 92" DIA ceiling mounted screen which will pull down in front of my TV and between my front speakers. I plan on mounting the projector in the rear corner above the arm chair. It will work out to a throw distance of about 13ft.


Seeing as I have never done this before what should I keep in mind and what problems might I run into? I am considering the Optoma HD20 or similar 1080P DLP for between $1000 and $1500.
