I have to agree on this.
The Hobbit goes into production next year, and will be made into two films.
So it could be upwards of 2-3 years before we see the extended editions.
IMO anyone who says i'm not going to watch these on BD till the extended editions come out is fooling themself. I doubt very much that people are going to withstand the pull of these BD's when they come out. Sure you might get that hard headed I won't budge on this issue person,but you know damn well they'll be watching them, but obviously won't say so.

Also just my opinion I don't mind the theatrical coming out before the extended, plus we won't have to pay as much if they were to box up all the theatrical and extended editions together. I myself wouldn't want to see a extended edition and theatrical on the same disc,I want them seperate. Sure someone might say why don't they box up ee's and theatricals seperately and offer both at the same time. Not the smartest business move, Plus we would probably have to wait even longer so they could polish the ee's. If the extended editions were the only one's coming out, people would be b*tching that they want the theatrical versions.
I'm just happy to see these on BD, for some of you have a nice long wait while you wait and wait for the ee's, while most of us who have no issue will be enjoying these great films.
