The Bose Acoustimass bass module/subwoofer can't go low enough for for hard hitting bass. It only goes down to 46Hz( the Acoustimass system ignores audible signal from 20Hz to 45Hz on the low end (deep bass) ). Putting it in a corner might help, also try pointing the sub port into the corner &/or elevating your sub with a riser/isolator. If these tips don't work, you might have to replace your sub with a better performing one.
