As Wreck stated in his reply, this is not an unusual scenario, but it would have been problematic for me if the release date wasn't revised (I'll be in Canada till sometime in the new year, and I don't know nor want to impose on anyone to go out of their way to pick this item up just for the lithograph and keychain).
Frankly, I don't know if there is a logical way for them to track the cancelled pre-orders for Up or Snow White. I did the Up steelbook pre-order and I picked up the release at Best Buy, but I didn't have the cashier credit me the difference during check out; I went to Customer Service for the $7.50 refund after my transaction was completed.
