I can tell the difference between blu-ray and that Casino Royale and Pirates look amazing, but I can't really distinguish the different levels of visual and audio in most movies unless they're outstanding or horrible.
I can rate a script, acting, direction, music, ext... but most people have seen these movies, just wanna know about the transfer.

I appreciate your candor. Refreshing, honest, true and guess what? Thats all you really need to write a review. I add reviews with every BD purchase. I'm no expert and I get bored listening to pros spit out technical jargen, stats, etc. I do enjoy reviews from everyday joes like you and me. Remember, its your opinion. The individual reading the review always has to make a determination on a purchase. When you get 3 or more reviews stating the same thing about PQ, SP, you can usually find that it is consistant enough to make a more informed decision on whether to purchase or not. And besides all that, Its FUN!!!
