Default Stereo Pre-Amp in $300 range (B&K, Etc)

I recently purchased a B&K power amp, one that is 4 or 5 years old, it is a 125.2 - very nice especially for the $250 I paid for it! This is the first time I have gone to using a pre/power for my stereo listening.

I'm looking now for a pre-amp to replace my NAD c352. It has a few weird issues but overall it still sounds good, but I think it's over 10 years old and I'm looking for something more like 4 or 5 years old that the price has declined to around $300-$350.

I've been watching for B&K pt5 or Ref 5 which go for $300-$400.
I'm trying to figure out some other options though. Rotel seems to be a line that is similar in price and quality to B&K.

Any reccomendations?

Also I listen to mostly vinyl, I already have a pre-pre amp a dynavektor p75 so the phono stage onboard is not really important. Also, it might be nice to have an optical input even though I don't currently have a CD with optical out that might be in the future (or a computer to play files via optical out maybe). ALso I have a sub which I currently run from the pre-outs using a subwoofer y cable. Having a dedicated sub out would be nice.

Btw I have def tec bi-polar tower speakes bp6b I believe is the model.
