I consider these two movies to be the best horror movies ever,
of course I have many favourites but these two stand out to me.

For me The Shining is about an inch better (that made sense

TS has
THE BEST horror score ever, the music alone could scare me stupid. Also I love how it's big, just BIG in everything, the scale of it all and the isolation makes very uncomfortable to watch.
Fantastic perfomance by all, some of you might argue that Jack played it too much and Shelley Duvall was too hysterical. To me it was a huge plus, the way Jack played the character makes it horrifying because he was so unstable and the fact that Shelley's character was so completely utterly helpless only made it more frightening. I could go on...
