I've been hearing about clouding on HDTV's where the backlight poorly lights up the screen, causing a cloud effect. I'm wondering, what causes this exactly, is it having the backlight set too bright, or just general wear and tear of the TV?

I assume there is no fix other than sending it off for repairs?
