My HTIB speakers are only at 6 Ohms, would that mean it will get fried when I hook it up to the Onkyo?

Since your speakers are only 6ohms it means there is LESS resistance, meaning it will pull MORE power from the amp, thus generating heat which could be at unsafe temperatures and could fry the receiver and is NOT recommended by any means. You MIGHT be able to get away with your 6ohm set, but I wouldn't even try it. Your best bet is finding 8ohm speaker sets.
