As has been posted before, BD 3D will use 1080p48 or 1080p120 signals, with each eye appearing in alternating frames. 1080p48 (the most common as it's double 1080p24) is definitely within the PS3's capabilities; it will *NOT* need two HDMI outputs, and it will *NOT* need HDMI 1.4.

However, new TVs will be necessary to display the picture in 3-D. Even existing 120Hz & higher sets do *NOT* have the technology (other than anaglyph) to deliver a separate picture to each eye; that will require special displays (and more than likely glasses, though some say they won't need them). Besides, no HDMI connection today delivers more than 60Hz; 120Hz is important only as the common denominator of both 24 & 60, and 240Hz, etc. is just marketing hype.
