Nintendo shuts down fan-made Zelda movie

The Legend of Zelda not only has one of the largest fan bases, but also one of the oldest and most dedicated ones. A Zelda fan movie, a feature length production titled “The Hero of Time”, based on Ocarina of Time, was made over a period of a few years and was finally beginning to be showcased at festivals and online.
However, Nintendo shut down the movie, as it, obviously, infringed on their trademark and brand. If you’ve seen the film, you’d understand why they did, as the movie, quite frankly, sucks. We know it wasn’t a professional deal and all that, but if Zelda is portrayed that badly, it might throw off fans who would otherwise be interested in “the real Zelda movie”. If/when ever it comes out.
And what were they thinking just making a movie without securing the rights first?

So Nintendo shut this down...I don't blame them. They do own the rights but they should take notice. The fans want a film based on one of the most popular video game franchises in the history of gaming. They were sick of waiting so took matters into their own hands. I'd love to see a Peter Jackson-directed Zelda film!
