I would suggest listening to both, using the same soundtrack. If it were me personally, I'd lean toward the Def Tech sub, if the measurements are accurate.
28 Hz is a good bottom range for music, but many action movie soundtracks contain ranges that extend down toward 20 Hz or below. Heck, my M&K MX-125 Mk II sub is rate down to 20 Hz, not 18 Hz as the Def Tech supposedly is, and that is with two sealed 12" drivers. I have a hard time thinking the Def Tech has much useful output at 20 Hz, let alone at 18 Hz, but the Def Tech probably has more accurate output in that range than the Klipsch.
