Blu-ray quality varies to some extent independently of the encoding technology. There are excellent examples of picture quality with each of the available codecs. The best way to find which movies are demo material is to read reviews. Also, go for movies where you like the type of content as well as looking at picture quality.
A better question would be "Which Blu-ray movies have the best picture quality?", I'm sure many people will be happy to give their suggestions. Some excellent picture quality discs I've watched are
