I got my first year of Prime for free which is why I signed up for it in the first place. Of course, they got me with the second year because I forgot to cancel. LOL! However, I order a lot of movies, toys, books, etc... on Amazon so all that free 2 day shipping more than makes up for the $70 dollar a year cost. I guess, if you only order one or two movies a year, EBay is a great choice. I just find it hard to believe that any EBayer only buys one or two a year though.
To me, Amazon, plus a Prime membership would be better for almost anyone. Then there's the safety of ordering through Amazon and Amazon merchants. People on EBay can so easily screw you and yes, you can file a complaint with EBay, but man, it's usually a process. Then comes the problems of getting wrong merchandise or damaged merchandise, etc... I just find Amazon so much easier to deal with in every category when it comes to purchasing anything online. I usually only go to EBay as a last resort if I can only find the item there.
