I was reading an article on IGN that says if you're playing a PS3 game that is in 720p on a TV that only supports 1080i that it will downscale it to 480p.

How many HDTVs have 1080i and not 720p? Is this from the very early adopting days? I can't find any televisions that do this currently.

Any input on this is greatly appreciated.
