Anyone else besides me that would love to see a blu release of Don Siegel's 1956 classic
Invasion of the Body Snatchers? Sadly, the studios seem to have little interest in this title, despite its reputation as a classic of its genre.
It's 50th anniversary came and went without so much as a DVD re-release, and currently the only way to view this great film at home is on a non-anamorphic DVD sourced when DVD was in its infancy.

I still have my Criterion LaserDisc version, and keep it around for its fabulous commentary track.
I would
love to see a complete restoration of this film that includes versions in both Superscope and Academy (full frame) aspect ratios, given that the Superscope "blow up" was imposed by the studio without director Siegel's consent and all the cinematography was originally composed for full frame.
It would also be fantastic if someone could record audio commentary by the two stars, Kevin McCarthy and Dana Wynter, before they are no longer with us. McCarthy is now 96 (but is still working

) and Wynter is 79 and retired.
