I never played the original, so this was a blind-buy. I couldn't be happier. This is one of the craziest fps I've ever played. The near endless waves of enemies on certain levels is insane. The original music score is stellar as well.

I played the original and the second encounter and yes the game is almost like an endless encounter of enemies. Lots of fun! I've been tempted to try out the new HD releases but have not checked to see what the cost is. How much is it?
