It's about a young girl (Elizabeth Berkeley) who hitchhikes to Las Vegas and becomes an erotic dancer in a stage show, locks horns with its star (Gina Gershon) and overthrows her, and basically succumbs to the glamor of fame before realizing that it's all for nothing. That description makes the movie sound far better than it is.
Really, the only reason I'd rent this on BD is because Gina Gershon is ungodly beautiful. I'm all for skin and nudity, but this makes Verhoven's
Basic Instinct look like an episode of
Masterpiece Theatre by comparison.
