I am a huge fan of both films. Love 'em.

I liked Burton's atmosphere more than Nolan's. That doesn't mean I would like that type of Gothic atmosphere in BB or TDK, because it would be horrendous. It would be out of sync.

I thought the characters in Nolan's picture were developed better.

In terms of style, both were great. Both versions were lucky to receive GREAT composers; Zimmer and Elfman.

P.S. Burton's style was more faithful to the comics, than was Nolan's style. However, in terms of plot, Nolan's version was more faithful.
