If it where my decision at the network I would have either aired them consecutively starting in November or waiting until March and aired them consecutively than. That's probably one of the reasons Shawn Ryan is jumping ship to work on Terriers full time right now, FX doesn't ever pull that crap, everything is consecutive with no weeks off.

Well I understand why they do it, because they have so many shows that they can't put all of them on during the same several months. This way they can space them out, and basically have nearly round the year programming.
But it drives me crazy to realize that it's the second half of Season 2 that's getting ready to air, and not season 3 which I thought it was. lol
