IMAX, Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures announced today that director Zack Snyder's next big action thriller Sucker Punch 3D will be released to IMAX theatres simultaneously with the film's domestic release on March 25th, 2011.

Veronika Kwan-Rubinek, President of International Distribution for Warner Bros. Pictures says, "The growing international IMAX theater network will enable us to offer the premium IMAX release of Sucker Punch 3D to a wider audience, introducing even more moviegoers to the winning combination of Zack Snyder's vision and IMAX's powerful format."

The movie details the action-packed fantasy world of a mental patient (Emily Browning), who escapes from her reality to deal with her abusive stepfather.
