Talking My DIY Absorption Panel Project - Updated!!

OK folks, decided to toot my own horn again. I'm not sure I like the turn out of my panels as well as I like my TV stand, but hey, these took less time....at least the first two that I've finished.

You can see quite a bit of waviness in the microsuede....but I'm not gonna let that bother me. The theatre is DARK most the time anyway. And these were much cheaper than the pre-mades I found.

Here are the first two, completed (brown on left, tan on right):

They started as Roxul panels from ATS Acoustics, spray-glued them to peg-board, covered with microsuede from Wal*Mart and there you have it....

There are a couple more pictures in my gallery.

Roxul, 6-pack, 2" - 2'x4' panels, delivered from ATS: $57.80
Peg-board, 4'x8', cut by the dude at Home Depot: $16.46 (lucked out here, dude accidentally started to cut them into 2'x2' panels...so he gave me one full sheet for the CULL price ($0.51)!!!
Spray-glue: $13.34 (could have found for less, should have bought two cans)
MicroSuede (almost 6-yards): $24.01 (Wal*Mart)
Air-compressor: free (borrowed from friend)
Air-stapler & Staples: $32.49 (Harbour Freight)
Total: $144.10 = $24.02/panel!!

Here's hoping they help!!

thanks for looking
