Don't get me wrong I love Seven Samurai, Red Shoes, 8 1/2, etc but it's also nice to get titles like Repulsion, Marienbad, Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence (which I REALLY want to see), etc. on blu-ray. |
Yes, like I said a couple days ago, while this year was awesome, I love 2009's releases better, because they were harder to find in the U.S. titles. Re-releases and big titles like Night of the Hunter and Paths of Glory flooded this year's releases (which is great still), only with some great dvd only movies (Dillinger, silents, War Trilogy) that was hard to get before.
Can't wait for next year. Looks to be a great one.
