This article was complete stupidity...

One has to look no further then point number 2.

Basically he says that studios should lower the prices of the combo disks to equal that of their standard DVD counterpart in order to get more people to buy them and ensure that HD-DVD wins the war....

The only problem is that no studio has instrumental development in HD-DVD enough to see future profit from its success....

Is he really suggesting that studios who merely produce their product on the media drop their prices and take financial losses so Toshiba can retain royalities of next generation HDM??

That's the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard!

The only way this could happen is if Toshiba further subsidized the studios production cost, but how long can Toshiba stay afloat with both selling cheap players and paying for half of all the content on its HDM...

They wouldn't be making money on the Razor or the Blades....

Ridiculous....
