That's a very interesting question. I think that DivX uses the MPEG-4 Simple Profile, while the Blu-ray players/recorders will support MPEG-4 Advanced Profile (AVC). I'm not sure if the support for MPEG-4 AVC means that they will support MPEG-4 Simple Profile as well. It's also possible that DivX will upgrade their codec to MPEG-4 AVC in the future.
