Im working on a game right now for Playstation dev that is 1080i MINIMUM. We are playing in releasing it on an 8cm blu ray, and it will have 23.3 gigs of data on it. MOST of that data is being used for better graphics, with gameplay levels being about the same size. You have to remember that the game system is still limited by the amount of memory it has on board, and you can count on not very much being there, so more system can be sold at a cheaper price.

I just wish they would allow you to add your own memory. You could make games that include a memory upgrade.

My guess is that in order to use a full Blu Ray disc for game, it will need a minimum of 1 gig of DDR ram. This will have to be ran on a VERY high bus speed. Something better then MIPS programming needs to be used to push more data through, faster.
