The data density on a Blu-Ray disk mandates that we must keep the cartridge. I don't want a scratchable surface. Look at Minidisks, these have little cartridges, the don't make the disk unwieldy, in fact the make the disks more convenient. I can toss those disks around easily, not worry about damage and all my music is stored securely.

For the long term survival of the species we need cartridges.
