Default Where are the great comedies on BD?????

I just finished watching "Yes Man",..... for the 10th time or so , and was wondering why there aren't more wonderful classic comedies out on BD?!?!?!?

I used to have so many comedies on DVD, but BD seems to be really slow when it comes to bringing classic comedies to Blu-ray in good quality releases!

Where is:

(Jim Carrey films)

Fun with Dick and Jane

Man on the Moon

Lemony Snicket's: A Series of unfortunate Events (Have been waiting for this one since the inception of BD!!!)

Ace Ventura: Pet Detective
Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls
(so far only empty rumors! )

Dumb and Dumber (THEATRICAL CUT The Unrated one is an abomination!!)

Bruce Almighty (REMASTER- Universal- You weren't actually thinking I'd buy this travesty, did u? )

Monty Python's Meaning of Life

(Steve Martin films)

Housesitter

Bowfinger

The Out of Towners (Yes, I actually enjoyed it a lot! Steve and Goldie are hysterical)

Planes, Trains & Automobiles

Father of the Bride (Although I haven't seen it in ages, and never did like it to begin with, but what the heck. )

Parenthood (Not really a comedy, but one hell of a great movie!)

Shopgirl (Hm, yeah, not a comedy at all, but a great film for sure!)

Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid

Sgt. Bilko (It didn't do much for me at first, but it grew on me, and I ended up loving it! Truly hilarious!)

John Candy in "Who's Harry Crumb?"

It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World

Ben Stiller's Zoolander!!!!

All Charlie Chaplin films

Can't wait for Criterion's The Great Dictator!!!!

The Naked Gun movies

Hot Shots and all that nonsense would be fun too!

I don't want to watch something like The Dark Knight every other night, as I just want to jump out of the window afterwards.

How about some awesome comedies in razor sharp HD and lossless audio???

Who is in?

What do think the reasons are?

Are comedies really that unattractive on BD??

Even in on these forums I see comments like DVD is good enough for comedies, and I just don't get it. Do they have a 12inch TV, or are they simply blind? How come they are BD enthusiasts then?
This is all very baffling to me, so please enlighten me!

I strongly believe that ANY KIND of movie benefits extremely from the HD treatment, except if it was originally shot in SD, of course.

I think "Yes Man", "Life of Brian" and the like look great in HD.

Also, what are some of the comedies that you are eagerly awaiting to be released on BD?
