Maybe this is truly a bad movie, but I've seen trailers for movies that looked far worse and they never came close to a 7%. I know trailers are only so much, but I know some movies are as bad as their trailer looks.
Kinda odd that I am somewhat defending a film that I may only rent at some point, but I'm more surprised that the reviews are quite this bad.

I didn't think it looked like something that would be rated this low either, but apparently the critics find it is...
Honestly, I'm in a way not surprised. It looked like Twilight all over again. Not to mention Catherine Hardwicke has really only made one really good movie in my opinion, and that was Lords of Dogtown. I mean, it may not be nearly as bad as they're saying, but I'm sure it's not really going to be great either. But it'll probably light the box office on fire and make a lot of money in the teen girl category.
