The pillar-boxing just doesn't bother me, even with 1.33 stuff. Yes, it's severe but I'm looking at the picture, not the borders (although given that viewpoint you could legitimately wonder why I've bought a 21:9 set in the first place

).
After a few minutes I'm concentrating on the film. Watched Stalag 17 not too long ago, and instead of the pillar-boxing I kept on wondering if matey meant to get that book so close to William Holden's head when he throws it at him.
