Have you checked out the Chinese supermarkets in your area, or even those in Mississauga? They have an excellent selection (even better than contemporary supermarket chains such as Loblaws or Metro), they're fresh (some are on ice, others are swimming in tanks) and the pricing is better too. Personally, I like grouper (tastes great steamed or fried), but even if you prefer the likes of salmon and sole, I'm sure you can find these priced competitively with other proteins. My only advice is to get there early to avoid crowds and for the best possible selection.

My excuse is that there's no fresh seafood here; everything here is either frozen or packed in ice.
